
I urge you call to read this brief article. They advocate a similar approach to what I published in “Clean Energy 2.0: Energy Abundance or Bust”. We do not need to wait for “breakththroughs”. We have much of the technology that we need to make huge progress very quickly toward a clean energy world. Its not that we should stop innovating, but it appears to many of us that government funding is only interested in funding either (a) new research or (b) tired old ideas (i.e. cellulosic ethanol). What we need more of is something in between AND Comprehensive Clean Energy Legislation that puts a price on GHG (i.e. carbon) emissions.
Please spread this message throughout the administration, especially Sec Chu, and on Capitol Hill.
